Mummifying Apples
Ms. Richard’s class at Williams Elementary School recently read about mummies and how the Egyptians mummified people and even cats! They decided to try mummification on apples. They made a mixture of salt and baking soda and immersed their apples in the mixture. Students measured the width and height as well as the apple’s weight. This is an ongoing project and the class takes measurements every five days to see how quickly the mummification process is working! #WeAreRSU18 #WESproud18
