2024 Field Day at the Wonderful Williams School
By: Mrs. Solis, Dean of Students at Williams Elementary School
What an incredible Field Day we had this year! Mrs. Haskell, our physical education teacher, planned a plethora of activities ranging from yard games, water games, relays, parachute games, galactic bowling, and so much more. We had an awesome new dunking station where students got to splash their teachers and staff with buckets of water! Laughs were certainly had by all! We also had a fun new addition of an inflatable obstacle course! Students and staff (and even our awesome school resource officers) joined in on racing through it! The Darlings Ice Cream Truck for a Cause visited Williams Elementary and anyone could get a delicious ice cream from the Darlings truck in exchange for a donation of any amount. All contributions to the ice cream truck were donated to our Williams Community Cupboard which provides students in need with non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products throughout the school year.
We concluded our day with a competitive few rounds of tug of war amongst grade levels and of course once again our wonderful Williams staff had to get in on the action. It was a great day! We are so thankful for the planning and preparation done by Mrs. Haskell, the staff who all joined in on the activities, the parent volunteers, and our awesome Messalonskee Middle School students who came to help run stations! We already can’t wait for Field Day 2025! #WeAreRSU18 #WESproud18
